Here’s another image from my Nature Magazine haul – another bird illustration! This artist is George Miksch Sutton, who’s drawing style is slightly different than that of Robert Horsfall, even though both of these men primarily only drew birds. This image is of a Bittern, which is in the crane family and would only be found near the ocean, swamps or wetlands. That makes this vintage bird printable great for any beachy or nautical themed projects you may have going on.

Yes, I know it’s the middle of winter. A girl can dream about beaches, yes?
