Welcome to Day 15 of 25 Days of Vintage Christmas Pictures!
If you haven’t heard of Elizabeth Gordon’s Flower Children book from 19140, you are in for a real treat. Long entered into the public domain, the book seems to be re-released by a new publishing house every few years. And it’s no wonder why – it is 92 pages of the most adorable flower children drawings with poems that you could possibly find! This particular flower child from the book is the Christmas Holly Boy – I’ll posted his “sister” the Poinsettia flower child later in my vintage Christmas image series.

I came across a copy at a flea market a few weeks ago priced at $45, but was fortunate enough to find a decent used copy online for much less. But if you can get your hands on an original edition of the book, I’ve seen them priced anywhere from $150 to $1500. Such incredibly visually appealing books were much rarer in 1910, which is why they are so collectible. Luckily for you, I’ll be sharing more images from this book (and her companion book, Bird Children) in the coming weeks and months!
