It’s day 24 of 25 Days of Vintage Valentines!  It’s Valentine Eve!!

At the beginning of my 25 Days of Vintage Valentines series, I posted a gorgeous old color plate of a red rose from a French magazine. Then I wondered if perhaps a red rose was too much for some readers? You know how when you debated in high school whether to send a pink flower or red flower to your crush on Valentine’s Day? And you went back and forth in your head for hours wanting to send the red flower, but you’re scared so you think you’ll play it safe by sending the pink flower. Then you wonder how anything could ever happen between the two of you unless one of you makes the first move? So you decide to send the red flower. But then…

Oh – was I the only neurotic flower giver in high school? Um, forget what I just said.

Anyway, for those of you who clearly know that a red rose is not what you want, and you need the pink rose, here it is.
