Welcome to day 6 of 25 Days of Vintage Valentines!

You know, I’d love to give you the history on this early 1900’s Valentine’s Day postcard. I really would. I own it; I took the picture of it myself. But my office is getting so overrun with vintage books, cards and magazines that I can’t find the dang thing to tell you more about it. 🙁

I’m actually in the process of trying to find a storage solution for all this stuff, which is proving to be far more difficult than you would think it would be. I’ve been thinking that I’ll be able to post on my blog about my beautiful, well organized studio/home office soon… since 2009. Every time I get the room almost perfect, I either start on a project or buy a new load of stuff and it gets trashed all over again. 2012 is the year I vow to buy less stuff, and get this room pretty enough that I won’t be embarrassed to post pictures of it. I promise. 🙂

Anyway, I do know this postcard came from my early 1900’s postcard collection – sometime between 1906 and 1918 (the dates that my vintage scrapbook creator started and stopped her card collecting). And I don’t know much more than that – except for the fact that the cherub is quite cute, and that if this photograph ‘tells a story’, it is going right over my head. I mean, who just sits at a table conversing with a Valentine cherub discussing old Valentine’s Day cards? Not me.
