Welcome to Day 3 of 25 Days of Vintage Summer and Patriotic Art!

This little lovely comes from one of my 1930′s magazines – the May issue of Woman’s Home Companion, a publication that sadly went under in the 1950′s. This was an illustration of three girls dress patterns available from Butterick at the time. Unfortunately, mom’s swanky halter jumpsuit wasn’t an available design – otherwise I would be scouring the ends of the earth to find it!

By the way, I’ve been wanting to post a link to this adorable tutorial for a while now, and I think today’s image is perfect for this project! Take any vintage children’s book page (or printable artwork) and turn it into a coin purse – how cute is that?!
