Printable Vintage Ivory Soap Ad from Christmas 1912
Today I kick off an ambitious new series – 25 Days of Vintage Christmas Pictures!
These are all printable images – ready to make into any kind of Christmas decoration, craft project, wall art, or gift! Every day between now and Christmas I will be posting a new (and free!) printable vintage Christmas image. The first image is one of my favorites – a sweet Ivory Soap ad from the December 1912 issue of McCall’s magazine:
The illustration of two children in an Ivory Soap box sled is signed by Katharine R. Wireman, a well-established illustrator from the late 1800’s to the early 1900’s. This also wasn’t the only Ivory Soap ad she did – here’s another one from a 1909 issue of the Saturday Evening Post.
This image is large enough to print clearly on an 8.5″ x 11″ piece of paper. If you need a very-high resolution version of this vintage Ivory Soap ad, you can download it here. (Usually I sell the high-res images in my Etsy Shop, but for this series, I’ll be giving some of them away for free – so keep coming back all December long for more freebies!)
