Welcome to Day 15 of 25 Days of Vintage Summer and Patriotic Art!

This little postcard gem was a surprise score in a lot of 150 postcards I recently bought in an auction. I wasn’t able to see all the postcards before bidding, so I was pleasantly surprised to find enough great old art to justify the purchase – even though more than half of them were boring and completely uninspired. This was actually one of my favorites in the lot – I’m assuming this postcard was sold to many different tourist destinations, and then the shop owners could stamp the town name into the sky below the “Souvenir from” lettering. Since my postcard has no destination on it, I can’t be sure. But that just makes it appeal to a wider range of people at this point!
