Free Vintage 1950’s Rockabilly Dress Sewing Pattern
Surfing around on BurdaStyle, I came across this gorgeous 1950’s halter top with circle skirt rockabilly dress pattern for free (free membership required to download). Currently it is available in a U.S. size 4 – that’s a ready-to-wear size, not a traditional sewing pattern size (which would be about a size 10). If that’s not your size, no fear! Use this handy pattern resizing tutorial from Threads magazine to alter the pattern to your own measurements:

Hi! I have just downloaded this pattern and taped together, what is confusing me though is the skirt bit. I’ve bought the fabric according to the amounts the pattern advised but I’ve gotten to the cutting out part and am confused! on the pattern the skirt has a fold line on both sides – is this meaning to fold in half and then fold in half again and then cut out? If so I don’t think there will be enough fabric! I thought I would ask you as you have made it already! Please let me know!
