Colorful & Unique Easter Celebration Card with a Hatching Egg
Welcome to Day 4 of 25 Days of Vintage Easter Art!
This image comes from my Victorian trade card collection, and it’s one of the more unusual cards I own. I’m assuming this is an Easter themed card, with the chick hatching out of an egg… but the dancing girls in short (for the 1800′s) skirts and odd clowns/jesters are throwing me off. It almost seems like it could be some other obscure old fashioned celebration that I have never heard of. 
Either way I think the card is adorable.
This is another image that would be great printed on fabric for a pillow, or perhaps decoupaged onto the bottom of a clear glass serving platter for Easter dinner.
